The Disappearance

Started out the day out on the ocean.  Had to shoot the Body Glove boat, The Disappearance, for a ad.  The Disappearance is owned and operated by co-founder of Body Glove, Bob Meistrell.

Working on Projects

Been working on a big project for a client so I gotta dedicate my time to that.  So the posts are lagging this week.  In the meantime, Nelson over at Church of Choppers did a killer story on Trevelen.  Need something to read go check it out.  Also, sorry all you San Jose Shark fans.  I was hoping they would pull it out but they just couldn't do it.  Would have been nice to see Jeremey Roenick raise the cup.  Let's see how the next round goes.  I say Boston keeps on rolling as will the Red Wings.  Been watching the Capitals too.  Well back to work.

Ol Skool Rodz-July 09

New issue of Ol Skool Rodz is out now.  Have photos of Doug Dorr's 58 Pontiac that I shot at his place.  Check it out.

Photo submitted by Jason Runes.

This picture was taken by his nephew Kai.  Jason tells me his nephew has been taking photographs of cars half his life now.  Kai just turned 6.  How's that natural camera angle for a six year old.

Joe Leroux's Shovelhead

Joe Leroux had his Shovelhead  built by the guys over at Top Shelf Customs.  The bike has a 93" S&S Shovelhead motor, 2" BDL primary, 6 speed transmission, Kraft Tech straight leg frame with no stretch or rake. The bike also has Top Shelf's own parts on it such as the gas tank, mid controls, tail light, license plate holder, risers and some Top Shelf pipes with machined end caps.  Other parts on the bike are a Chica rear fender, black powder coated 21" front wheel and 16" in the rear, Harley wide forks with shaved Fat Boy lowers, Biltwell handle bars, PM hand controls and brakes and a Bossley Cycle's seat pan.  Joe sent the seat out to Xian Leather to have it covered.  The paint was handled by Taylor Schultz up north.  Barry Lacour says, "This was the fastest bike we built.  Joe wanted it and we delivered."

History Of The Chopper-Irish Rich

Irish Rich appears in the opening of History Of The Chopper. He told me that Jesse had asked him to do it, but the timing kept getting pushed around. He got a call from Jesse last minute one day and was told his ticket to fly to Long Beach was waiting. So he jumped on a plane and flew out. When he showed up to WCC he asked Jesse who he was riding with. Jesse told him your it. So Rich did his thing and went for a ride around Long Beach.

My day with Irish Rich

Irish Rich came down this week with Steve from Colorado. They drove down earlier in the week and made their rounds.  I spent most of Sunday with them as they were coming from Huntington Beach and we went to the Stronghold Bike show in Venice.  We walked around the show and also ran into Pac Man and his brother Jason from by hand and by brain.
We all hung out for awhile in the blazing sun and finally took off.  Since Steve never saw the ocean without fog I took the coast way back to Long Beach and showed him Manhattan Beach.  Needless to say the beaches were packed.

Scott from Chopper Town fame bike.

Thanks Irish Rich for coming by. It was great to finally meet you in person.  I look forward to a trip down to Colorado so we can sit down and you can tell me all the glorious stories you have!  It was great to meet Steve too.  Very cool guy.  Look forward to seeing your bike when you ride it down for the 4th of July party.  Prove Rich wrong and show him you can ride it down and back to Colorado no problem! Have a safe drive back home and I'll talk to you soon.

Jason, it was very cool to meet you finally also.  Look forward to coming over and shooting some pics.  Try not to kill yourself racing Dustin on the freeways to work!

Stanley Cup Playoffs

The Stanley Cup Playoffs start today. I pick San Jose from the west and Boston from the east to go all the way.  San Jose against Anaheim should be a good series as well as Washington and New York.  It'll be interesting to see how Avery gets to Ovechkin.

Eryk Frias 53 Olds

Here are some more pics of Eryk Frias' 53 Olds that I shot around the Burbank area.

LA Kings Season Over

Another year out of the playoffs, but they were a much better team this year than previous years.  Depending on what they do in the off season there could be hope that they'll be playing next year in the playoffs.  Hopefully they sign a goal scorer.

H9 The Movie

Looks pretty good from the trailer.  Good camera angles, music is cool.  Alot of videos fall short.  This looks like it has a chance.

The Daniels Wedding Day

A few more photos from the Daniels Wedding day.  Was working on the final photos for Shayna and Kenny this week and it's done and ready to be delivered.
The Girls.  How many wedding photographers get a shot like this? Yeah, not a whole lot.
Shayna Daniels

Kenny Daniels.  Thanks guys for letting me shoot your wedding.  It was a lot of work but a blast at the same time.
